5 life lessons from my needy cats

Don’t all cat owners seem to think their cats are the greatest? I have two cats and I’m no different; insult my little chonkers and you’ll make an enemy of me. To give you an idea of who my cats are, it’s one tuxedo, Grayson, who pretends like he doesn’t love anyone until you look away, and one black one, Isis, who yells her love from the rooftops. They’re a little needy, they love cuddling, and both have learned to sit for food and water and they can fetch. Both teach me new things every day and I don’t know who I would be if I wasn’t reminded of life lessons by them.

Cats teach you lessons that you may not immediately see.

1. Don’t just accept any food, make sure it’s delicious

It’s going into your body, why accept just anything? While Grayson tends to be a trash goblin, Isis will only eat what she actually likes. She doesn’t spend time in life eating food that she doesn’t find absolutely delicious.

Throughout an entire day, she’ll graze here and there but never chows down like it’s her last meal. She doesn’t overeat and she enjoys the food that she has in her own time. I never worry about her stealing my food, she pretty much only sticks to the food she’s given. I’ve learned to eat my food slowly, to savor it, and it’ll make it taste that much better.
