I don't disagree with you that gamification can be detrimental. Reading the entire article, when I find that I have to reset it, I mention that I'm excited about it and am not upset about starting over because recovery is not linear and it does have its ups and downs. I'm not pushing gamifying sobriety nor am I saying this is the way you have to go about it, more just giving a story about my experience and a tip that greatly helped me.
I'm not sure about the necessity regarding your aggression in your response but I see it comes from a place with good intentions. If someone does get the wrong idea from my post, I would hope they'd read your response and understand my experience and method for sobriety isn't the end all, be all and sobriety isn't a death sentence but wonderful.
