What happened when I tried Keto for a month
I took control of my eating habits.
If you’re like me, you’ll understand that what we’re told about diets is so varied that one day, sugar is in and fat will kill you. The next, fat is in and sugar will kill you.
I’ve tried a lot of fad diets before like the military diet, Atkins, Slim Fast, etc. I can’t remember what the diet was called but there was even a one where you eat nothing but tomato soup and rice cakes for a few days.
But what happens on all of those diets is that it sets you up for failure and requires you to eat the same thing every day. It also restricts you on most of the nutrients that you need daily.
So when I heard about the ketogenic diet, I was skeptical. And to be honest, I tried it a couple of years ago and while I lost weight, I was feeling sick a lot of the time. But what I’ve learned is that I didn’t approach the diet the correct way. I was doing it like the other fad diets before and buying prepackaged foods. I was also eating a lot of dairy to meet my daily fat goal.
