You are correct but only in your last statement — it’s only your opinion. Everyone comes from different walks of life and they handle things differently. I read a few of your stories and you’ve led a pretty interesting life which I respect. It’s really admirable when you gave up alcohol, most would have just kept going so it’s really awesome that you didn’t.
But we have different lives and yours wasn’t the life I led and I didn’t “move to another city expecting a change”, I did change with sobriety…I now have less depression, less anxiety and I’m more optimistic about life. Sure, you can say that was in me all along but it took sobriety to help me see it.
Thank you for reading though! I hadn’t come across this way of thinking from people yet, usually they’re pretty supportive so it helps me grow seeing the other side. It gives more more to think about and I’m even happier I’m still sober.
